Brian Rokusek, President & Chief Executive Officer

Brian Rokusek began serving as the President & CEO of TCHS in December 2021.  He has over 30 years of experience in healthcare management and brings with him a depth and breadth of knowledge for the strategic development of operations and services to maximize the quality of service to advance patient experience.  Brian is passionate about rural health care. He leads with empathy and a team-oriented culture to serve people and provide improved access to exceptional health care in rural Nebraska. 

Jamie Koch – Chief Nursing Officer

Jamie has been in the Chief Nursing Officer role at TCHS since 2015, where she oversees many clinical departments. Jamie graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midland Lutheran College in 2002 and worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings prior to starting at TCHS in 2007 as a night shift RN. Jamie graduated from Nebraska Methodist College in 2022 with her Masters of Science in Nursing.  Jamie has a passion for education and rural healthcare and enjoys spending time with her two children; supporting them in their many activities.  

Amanda Vandervoort – Chief Operations Officer

Amanda began serving as the Chief Operations Officer in August 2021.  She comes to TCHS with 12 years of hospital experience in the rural Midwest.  She received her Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Kansas in 1999 and worked in finance for the following years.  She served in the U.S. Army Reserves in progressive leadership roles, including the Adjutant General branch and service support units. Amanda finished her degree in nursing in 2008 and holds a Master of Healthcare Administration.  She is a registered nurse with a background in post-surgical patient care, utilization review, health information, and clinical informatics.  Additionally, she worked in strategic planning, and business development, and holds a certification in healthcare compliance.  Amanda, her husband, and two children recently have made Hebron their home.

Michael DeFoe- Chief Financial Officer

Mike has lived and worked in the Midwest for 20 years. His career in rural healthcare has been almost exclusively in critical access hospitals similar to Thayer County Health Services. Starting as a Staff Accountant, and Controller and has now held CFO positions for over 12 years. Mike attained a Bachelor of Accounting in Oklahoma and an MBA in Healthcare Administration in North Dakota. He is a US Army veteran who worked primarily in the intelligence community during his time in service. Mike is married with three children and he enjoys, camping, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.
